OF OSAGE DIED
Funeral services were held Monday for Mrs. Walter Low, 78, of Osage. Mrs. Low died Friday morning at Mitchell County Memorial Hospital following several years of illness from a malignancy.
Rev. I. Kitzmann was in charge of the services at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, and arrangements were by C.R. Champion and Sons. Burial was in the Osage cemetery.
Dorothe Louise Troge was born on May 30, 1893, in Floyd county, Iowa, the daughter of Gustav and Elizabeth Freiholz Troge. She was baptized on September 3, 1893, at St. John's Lutheran church southwest of Osage, and was confirmed on April 12, 1908 by the Rev. A. Muller.
She attended the rural schools of the area and completed her education at the Cedar Valley Seminary in Osage.
Edward Koch and Dorothe (Dora) Troge were married in 1914. They became parents of three children. In 1945 she was united in marriage to Walter Low, and they celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary in 1970.
Preceding her in death were her parents, three brothers and five sisters.
Surviving are her husband, Walter of Osage; one son, Willard Koch of Osage; two daughters, Mrs. Clarence Havner (Merlen) of Charles City, Mrs. Burdette Hepner (Beulah) of Osage; eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Bertha Adrian of Los Angeles, Mrs. Agnes Smalley of Osage and Mrs. Anna Sherlock of San Pablo, California; and several nieces and nephews.
