MARBLE ROCK, IOWA - Dennis “Buck” Schriever, 61, of Marble Rock, died Friday, Oct. 4, 2013, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

A memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013, at United Methodist Church, Marble Rock, with Pastor Judy Wooton officiating.

Dennis "Buck" Schriever, 61, of Marble Rock, died Friday, October 4, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

A memorial service for Dennis "Buck" Schriever will be held 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at the United Methodist Church in Marble Rock. Pastor Judy Wooton will officiate.

Dennis George Schriever was born June 7, 1952 in Charles City, Iowa, the son of Benjamin and Genevieve (Kornegor) Schriever. Dennis farmed by Rockford for about 25 years for Darrell Bass then went to work at QPP in Austin Minn. for seven years. He then worked at Woodharbor in Mason City for five years before retiring. Dennis loved spending time with his kids and grandkids and enjoyed being outside junking.

Living family members include his wife, Nancy of Marble Rock; daughter, Heidi (Juan) of Iowa Falls and their children Marco, Allie, Brianna and Christian; son, Chad (Jamie) of Marble Rock and their children Jaylah and Peyton; five brothers: Gary of Rockford, Larry (Carol) of Floyd, Ronnie (Bonnie) of Marble Rock, Jim of Marble Rock and Danny (Rhonda) of Lake Mills; sister, Marge Swedberg of Rudd; along with nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Donnie Swedberg.
