CEDAR FALLS, IOWA — Jerry Robert Dorwin, 58, of Cedar Falls, died Thursday, March 31, at Sartori Memorial Hospital from complications of diabetes.

He was born April 15, 1946, in Charles City, the son of Robert K. and Lucille K. Dietz Dorwin. He married Marilyn L. Adams on October 17, 1972, at Falls Avenue Wesleyan Church, Waterloo.

Mr. Dorwin was employed as a custodian at the University of Northern Iowa and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Lisa R. (Thomas) Wolf of Cedar Falls; his mother of Cedar Falls; three grandchildren: Amber, Brittany and Dillon Wolf; and a sister, Sandra K. Neuman of Cedar Falls.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Funeral services will be held on Monday at Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church, Cedar Falls, with burial in Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery. Graveside military rites will be conducted by Cedar Falls AMVETS Post 49. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, and for an hour before services Monday at the church.
