CHARLES CITY, IOWA — Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at the St. John's Lutheran Church for Carl M. Reetz, 69, farmer living north of Charles City, who was found dead in his field shortly before 7 p.m. Saturday.

A local physician who had been treating Reetz for a heart condition was called and pronounced his death due to a heart attack. Reetz had been driving a tractor, picking corn, had got off the tractor and was found alongside the picker.

The Rev. Walter M. Fritschel, will officiate and burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

Mr. Reetz was born in Germany, May 18, 1884, and has lived in the Charles City community for 67
years. On June 18, 1914, he was married to Minnie Jaeger at Ripon, Wisconsin.

Survivors are his wife, two sons, Kenneth at home, and Frederick Reetz, Mason City, and two daughters, Mrs. Beatrice, Allison, Nashua, and Mrs, Hazel Hirsch, Charles City; two brothers, Arthur and Lester; sisters, Mrs. Emma Hoeft, and Mrs. J. B. Macey; and two grandchildren.
