THOMPSON - Died, at her home in this city, January 19, 1894, Sarah Catherine Thompson, wife of Nathan Thompson.

Sarah Catherine Thompson was born August 21, 1838, in Mercer, Penn She was named in honor of the wife of President Polk, of Nashville, Tenn., who was an intimate friend of her parents. Mrs. Thompson was a graduate of the Steubenville Seminary. She was married to Mr. Thompson in 1866 and has lived most of her married life in the west. One child was born to them, a little daughter, who died at the age of eleven years. Mrs. Thompson was a member of the M. E. Church from early childhood. The funeral occurred on Sunday, January 21. 1894, conducted by Rev. T. M. Evans.
