Park, Eldon Raymond
Eldon Raymond Park was born in Charles City, IA.. June 11, 1876 where he was raised, attended the public schools and worked at his trade that of a lather. The earlier years of his life he was a member of the Charles City fire department while he resided here.
He went to Sioux City, IA., a number of years ago where he has lived most of the time since.
He was a member of the Lathers Union of that place and worked with them up to the time of his death.
He was married to Mrs. Bertha Severence of Sioux City in July, 1920.
He died very suddenly of apoplexy on Tuesday morning, October 17, 1922, aged 46 years, 4 months and 6 days old.
He is survived by his widow, father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. R. D. Park, of 403 Hildreth Street; one brother, Richard Park of 408 Johnson Street and two sisters, Mrs. G. R. Costello of Geddes, South Dakota and Mrs. F. J. Harvey of 1516 Ingleside Avenue, Sioux City, Iowa and a number of relatives and friend who will mourn his untimely death.
Funeral services were held at the Lindaman undertaking parlors Saturday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock conducted by Rev. G. A. Hess pastor of the Christian church and the remains were laid to rest in Riverside cemetery.Newspaper clipping from Floyd County Museum.
