OLD SETTLER DIES
Another Pioneer Resident of This City Gone to His Rest in the Home Beyond the Grave.Again it becomes out duty to chronicle the death of one of our oldest citizens. August Frieholz answered the final summons at about 8:00 o'clock yesterday afternoon, his death occuring at the Brainard House. He had been in poor health for the past year and although his friends knew that the end was not far off his death was very sudden. He was up and about the house all day yesterday and about ten minutes before his death. Mrs. Smith had been in the room to attend to the fire. When she came in a few minutes later he was laying on the bed in the cold embrace of death. The cause of his death was heart failure.

He lived for a time in Cedar Galls and came to Charles City nearly forty years ago an by frugal and industrious efforts accumulated considerable property, owning a fine farm in Peasant Grove Township and also considerable property in this city.
He had been twice married. His first wife died in early life, leaving him one child, Mrs. Lizzie Troga, of Orchard. He married a second time and this wife with four children survives him. They are, Mrs. Rose Clark of St. Charles; Mrs. Lena Coon of Sloan, Iowa, Miss Carrie Frieholtz, of Sioux City, ad William Freiholtz, of the firm Frieholz and Warn, of this city. His children have been telegraphed.
