Death of Carl Merckel, Sr.

Carl Merckel, Sr., died at 10 o'clock p.m., Sunday, September 4, at the ripe old age of 80 years. He has been ill for some weeks, and the end was expected.

We have known Mr. Merckel for many years, and have only good words for his record. He was one of God's best works, and honest man. The funeral will take place at 2 o'clock this afternoon from his late residence. Obituary next week.
