Waller, Rowley Merritt

Rowley Merritt Waller was the son of John R. and Mary Matilda Waller. He was born December 24, 1876 on a farm near Charles City, Iowa, where he grew to manhood. At the age of twenty-one years he went to Spokane, Wash., where for three years he was in the service of the fire department. He then became engaged in railroad work, which occupation he has followed ever since, and at the time of his death, September 11, 1909, was an employee of the Chicago, Milwaukee & St. Paul R. R. Co.

He was one of a family of seven, five sons and two daughters. One brother, Mark, died in infancy, his brother Roy, died November 2, 1906. His father died October 26, 1894. He is survived by his mother, two brothers, Elza and Clay, and two sisters, Nina and Naomi.
