ACHENBACH RITES HELD AT
FLOOD CREEK CHURCH

ROCKFORD, IOWA, Oct. 11 -- Funeral services were held at the Flood Creek Methodist Church for Henry William Achenbach, 83, the Rev. H. E. Hiller (*a) officiating, assisted by the Rev. Mr. Belling of Charles City.

Born in Dilbrecht, Nassau, Germany, December 14, 1850, he came to America [in 1852]. In 1856 (*b) he came to Iowa. He was united in marriage to Sophia Wolf in June 1874, and to this union were born 12 children. The youngest daughter died at 4 and the remainder of the family present at the funeral were Mrs. Clara Ridder, Tampa, Fla.; Mrs. Lydia Wilcox, Devils Lake, N. Dak.; Mrs. Ida Bornemeier, Lincoln, Nebr.; Mrs. Cora Eickhoff, Chicago ; Mrs. Estella Hauser, Varnia; Mrs. Alma Greenzweig and Mrs. Myra Webster, Charles City; Mrs. Bertha Gauger, Louis, Henry and Oscar Achenbach of Rockford.
