HEISLER, MILLER, CAPPER, LAWRENCE

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Linden United Methodist Church for William C. Heisler, 88, of 1415 Vine St. who died at Americana Nursing Center Monday at 9:20 p.m. of complications due to advanced age. Friends may call at Kearns-Dykeman Chapel after 7 p.m. Tuesday and those who wish may contribute to the Memorial Fund of Linden United Methodist Church in his name.

Mr. Heisler was born October 27, 1882, in Freeport, Illinois, the son of Conrad and Antonette Miller Heisler. He was married to Bessie Lawrence September 3, 1911 and she preceded him in death on July 23, 1952. He married Vesta Capper on August 25, 1953 in Waterloo. He had been a farmer in the Waterloo area until 42 years ago when he retired to study the harp.

He was a member of Linden United Methodist Church, Waterloo No. 105 AF & AM Masonic Lodge No. 105 AF & AM Masonic Lodge, Madonna White Shrine and Becker Chapter No. 499 OES. The Waterloo Lodge No. 105 will open Lodge at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and will conduct Masonic Rites at 7:30 p.m.

He is survived by his wife, two stepdaughters, Mrs. R. E. Nelms of 206 Polk and Mrs. Wayne Teeter of Tavares, Florida, six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife and three brothers.

The Waterloo Lodge No. 105 A.F.&A.M. will open lodge at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Masonic Temple for the purpose of conducting Masonic Rites at 7i30 p.m. Wednesday at the Kearns-Dykeman Chapel for William C. Heisler, 88, of 1415 Vine St. the public is welcome to attend both the Masonic service and the funeral services.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Linden United Methodist Church for Mr. Heisler. The Rev. H. James Smith, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery at Rockford.

Friends may call at the funeral home until 9 p.m. Wednesday; and.on Thursday from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at the church, when the casket will be closed.

Mr. Heisler died at the Americana Nursing Center Monday at 9:20 p.m. of complications incident to advanced age.
