CHARLES CITY, IOWA - Services for Anthony "Tony" Auchstetter, 70, will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Hage Funeral Home, Charles City, with burial in Riverside Cemetery, Charles City.
He died of natural causes on Tuesday, January 5, 1988, at the 11th Street Chautauqua Guest Home, where he had been a patient since October.
Survivors include a stepson, John Simpson of Charles City, two step-grandchildren; a brother, Joe of rural Charles City; two sisters, Mary Beck of Charles City and Antionette Wilse of Fredericksburg; a stepsister, Ruth Bork of Charles City; and a friend, Ethel Blair of Rockford.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth, in 1978; a stepsister; and a half brother.
Friends may call at Hage Funeral Home, Charles City, after 7:45 tonight, when there will be a family prayer service at the funeral home.
Mr. Auchstetter was employed at a Charles City lumber yard before retiring.
