Boy Fatally Hurt in Baseball Game
Charles City, Ia. -- Injuries received when his temple struck the third baseman's head in a slide to that base, caused death of Parker Bracken, 12, former resident on a farm south of Rudd. The boy was buried at Rudd Evergreen cemetery, beside the grave of a baby brother.
The accident happened at Rudd, the home of the family in recent years.
The boy was sliding to third base and the man on that base was bending over to catch a thrown ball when the accident occurred.
