Lyle, Minnesota. — Curtis Townsley, 55, of Lyle, Minnesota, formerly of Charles City, died at his home on Wednesday, June 19, 2013.

Funeral services for Curtis Townsley will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Hauser Funeral Home. Pastor Jim Beranek of Trinity United Methodist Church will officiate. Inurnment will be at a later date.

Friends may call at the Hauser Funeral Home from 5 to7 p.m. Friday, and Saturday one hour prior to the service.

The Hauser Funeral Home, 641-228-2323, in Charles City, is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.hauserfh.com .

Curtis Edwin Townsley was born August 30, 1957, at Charles City, the son of Donald and Betty (Jorgensen) Townsley. He graduated in 1976 from Charles City High School. Over the years he worked at White Farm Equipment Company and the Hormel Food Corporation. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion. Curtis was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and also enjoyed watching NASCAR and the Iowa Hawkeyes. He will be remembered as a person who enjoyed playing jokes.

Living family members include his mother Betty Kluwe of Charles City; three siblings, Pam (Ken) Boge of Orchard, Greg (Mary) Townsley of Lyle, Minn., and Tam Townsley of Tiffin; six nieces and nephews, Kenny (Deb) Boge, Aaron (Julie) Boge, Amy (Tony) McFarland, Tanya (Jeff) Jensen, Ashley (Jeff) Higgins and Nikki Townsley; several great nieces and nephews; along with other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father Donald and his step-father Ben Kluwe.
