Funeral Rites Are Held at Rudd for Mrs. Ernest Pueschell, Old Settler
RUDD, IOWA June 18. - Funeral services for Mrs. Ernest Pueschel, pioneer resident of Rudd who died at the Cedar Valley hospital at Charles City Saturday evening following a stroke were held at the Methodist Episcopal church here this afternoon, the Rev. George W. Turner, officiating. Burial was in Evergreen cemetery northwest of Rudd.

Was Pioneer Rudd SettlerRUDD, IOWA June 21 - Mrs. Ernest T. Pueschel whose funeral was held Tuesday was born June 4, 1851, at Driltz, Neustradt, Germany. In 1863, Mr. and Mrs. Pueschel, with their children came to the United States and settled at Rudd, where they have made their home ever since.
Mrs. Pueschell died Saturday at the Cedar Valley hospital, Charles City, at the age of 78. Funeral services were held at the Rudd Methodist church with the Rev. G. W. Turner, pastor in charge. Burial was in Evergreen cemetery, northwest of Rudd.
She is survived by Mr. Pueschell, two sons, Otto, New York, and Robert, Chicago, three daughters, Mrs. Emma Baumgartner, Denver, Colorado, Mrs. John Kneisel, Rudd and Mrs. Ray Helmers, Rudd, and 13 grandchildren and six great grandchildren and a sister living in Germany.
