CHARLES CITY, IOWA - Funeral services for Mark Van Slyke, 82, who died Thursday night, November 3, 1988, at Floyd County Memorial Hospital after an apparent heart attack, will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Hage Funeral Home. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Cedar Falls.
Survivors include his wife, Amanda of Charles City; two sons, Dr. Gary of Norfolk, Va., and Dr. Mark D. of Newport Beach, Calif.; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Sharon Manship of Marshalltown and Mrs. Dolly Bartz of Piqua, Ohio; three grandchildren; a great-grandchild; three step-grandchildren; a brother, Dale of Waterloo; a sister, Mrs. Velma Shafer of Texas City, Texas.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, two brothers and his first wife, Lucille.
Friends may call at the funeral home today from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Monday until services; he was employed as a machinist at Deere & Co., Waterloo, and farmed near Clarksville.
