Ellen Mae Gulbrandsen was born September 4, 1902 at rural Rudd, Floyd, Iowa to Lars Gulbrandsen and Anne Mathilda Thompson, the second of three girls.

Found in the 1905 census at Rudd, Floyd, Iowa.

Found in the 1910 census at Rock Grove, Floyd, Iowa: Lars Gulsbranssen 46, Anna M Gulsbranssen 34[24], Ellna May Gulsbranssen 8, Lenora Gulsbranssen 3[2].

Found in the 1920 census at Portland, Cerro Gordo, Iowa: Lars Gulbrandsen 56, Emma M Gulbrandsen 43, Ellen May Gulbrandsen 17, Lenore Gulbrandsen 13.

Ellen married Lloyd Henry Snively on December 9, 1927 at the First Baptist Church, Pocatello, Idaho.

Found in the 1930, 1940 censuses at Gooding, Gooding, Idaho:
1930: Lloyd H Snively 32, Mae E Snively 27.

1940: Lloyd H Snively 42, Ellen Snively 37.

Ellen died January 2, 1995 at Pocatello, Bannock, Idaho; but haven't located burial site.
