George W Stewart

November 21, 1857 – December 25, 1949

Floyd, Iowa - Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Floyd Methodist Church for George W. Stewart, 82, retired farmer, who died at his home here Christmas morning, following a two weeks illness of a heart ailment. He had been a life- long resident of the Floyd community. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.

He leaves his wife, four daughters, Mrs. E. F. Scherf and Mrs. Henry Field, both of Floyd; Mrs. B. W. Green, St. Paul, Minn.; and Mrs. Arnold Legeson, Minneapolis, Minn.; four sons, Laverne, Lloyd, Mervyl and Kenneth, all of Charles City, 30 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren; one brother, Frank Stewart, Gardena, Calif.

One son, Keith, died on Christmas day, 1918 and six brothers, two sisters, and one great grandchild preceded him in death.
