Date Of Death: February 12, 2013Mary LaBayre, 99, of Charles City, died Tuesday, February 12, 2013, at Cedar Health in Charles City.
Funeral services for Mary LaBayre will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Hauser Funeral Home. Pastor Jane Keel of Messiah Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in Sunnyside Memory Gardens rural Charles City. The family will greet friends an hour prior to the service.
Mary Margaret Brown Adley LaBayre was born December 31, 1913, in New York, New York, the daughter of George and Isabelle Brown. She attended school in Austin, Minnesota. On October 17, 1936, she married Walter Adley at Red Wing, Minnesota. To this union a daughter Mary was born. Walter died on June 4, 1942 and daughter Mary died in 1963.
Mary married Harold LaBayre on November 1, 1947. Harold died on January 31, 1995. She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church. Mary enjoyed fishing and traveling.
Living family members include a son, Allen LaByre; a sister-in-law, Virginia Hoy of Nashua; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; daughter; and a granddaughter.
