Eunice Kuhn, 86, of Charles City, died Sunday, January 27, 2013, at her home.

Funeral Services for Eunice Kuhn will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Bethany Alliance Church. Pastor Kent Sovine will officiate. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery at Charles City. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at the Hauser Funeral Home, and at the church an hour prior to the service.

Eunice Anne Mennen Kuhn was born June 18, 1926 at Aplington, the daughter of Ecko and Fenna "Florence" (Deters) Mennen, Sr. She received her education from rural Butler and Grundy County schools. On August 23, 1942, she was united in marriage to Harold Kuhn. They farmed all their lives in the Aredale, Dumont and Colwell areas, retiring in 1981 and moving into Charles City in 1989. Eunice was a very active member of Bethany Alliance Church. She enjoyed baking pies, vegetable and flower gardening, doing various types of needlework, playing the piano and organ, watching the Iowa Hawkeyes and girls basketball and talking with her friends on the phone.

Living family members include three children, Judy (James) Steven of Forest Lake, Minn., David (Nancy) Kuhn of Winterset, Kevin (Cheryl) Kuhn of Suring Wisc.; nine grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and three sisters, Delores (Robert) Herrington of Cedar Rapids, Imogene (Harford) Moyle of Springfield, Mo., and Rosalind (Terry) Andreassen of Waterloo; and two sisters-in-law, Dixie Mennen of Mason City, and Evelyn Mennen of Columbus Junction.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold on April 18, 1993; four brothers, Ecko Mennen, Jr., Richard Mennen, Gordon Mennen and Cecil Mennen; and three sisters, Florence Janssen, Gertrude Neymeyer and Elva Drier.
