CHARLES CITY - Funeral services for George Frank, 49, who died Monday at Miami, Fla., will be held at Grossmann's chapel here at 2 p.m. Friday; with burial in Riverside Cemetery. The body will arrive in Charles City on Thursday.
Mr. Frank, a prominent Floyd County farmer, had been in failing health about two years and in January went south for a rest. He is the son of Charles and Ottila (Zimmerman) Frank. He was born in Floyd County, and was married in 1919 to Clara Veith, who survives, with one daughter, Elaine Frank; six brothers and four sisters, Charles, Osage,; Louis, Morris, Minn.,; Emil, Fenton,; Jay and Alvin, Charles City; Richard and Mrs. Richard Wearing, Chicago; Mrs. Robert Braydon, Indianapolis, Ind; Mrs. Arthur Hatch, San Francisco, CA., and Mrs. Hix Jones, Detroit Mich.
He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the Shannon-Wilson Post, American Legion, of Charles City. He lived in and around Charles City all his life, owning a farm in Niles township, located at Niles Corner.
