WOMAN DIES OF INJURIES
MRS WILLIAM KNOOP, 59, ROCKFORD, VICTIM

Mrs. William Knoop, 59, Rockford, died at 11:20 o’clock Sunday morning in a Mason City Hospital from injuries in a car accident.

She was injured in a collision last Tuesday when she was brought to the hospital for treatment.

** Anna married William Oscar Knoop, the son of Daniel Knoop and Theodora (Sievers) Knoop.

Note* a family tree found on Ancestry has her maiden name as Moser with no parents, and a birth date of October 28, 1888.

Her age in the obit appears to be incorrect. From the census records and the reunion article the maiden name of Moser appears to be correct, and the birth year of 1887 or 1888 would be correct.

And also in Union, Floyd was brother Peter Moser 17 born May 1881 in New York, also a boarder in the Ambrose Smith home. She also had another brother Jacob “Jake” Moser who was born October 4, 1879. In Jacobs WWI draft registration, he lists his sister Anna Knoop as his nearest relative.

Moser Reunion…The Moser reunion was held in Perrin Park in Greene, Sunday August 20. Those present were Mr. William Knoop and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Greenman of Rockford, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Moser and Marlene, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Moser, of Marble Rock etc. etc.
