CHARLES CITY, IOWA - Services for James M. Smith, 73, widely known Charles City man who died Saturday in the Floyd County Memorial Hospital here, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Hauser Funeral Home. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

Smith was a retired Oliver employee, being head of the traffic department, from 1925 until his retirement in 1958. Since his retirement, Smith had been an office assistant for the Iowa terminal Railroad here.

He was a member of the Congregational Church, Rotary Club, Library Board, Safety Council and past deputy district governor of the Knights of Pythias.

Survivors include his widow, Agnes; two sons, James F. of Charles City and Dr. Andrew of Waterloo; and a sister, Mrs. Muril Forber of Belfast, Ireland.
