MR. H. H. FISHER IS SUDDENLY TAKEN BY DEATH

Mr. Harry H. Fisher, secretary of the Fisher company, manufacturers of bank and store fixtures, died suddenly at his late home, 407 Spriggs Street, Sunday morning at 2:30 following a week's illness from heart trouble. Mrs. Fisher was on his way home a few days ago from Beaumont, Texas where he had been on business when he was taken with an attack on the train and was removed to a Mason City hospital upon his arrival there. He was brought to his home here where it was thought he was recovering nicely, but Saturday became worse, passing away Sunday morning.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon from the Fredrickson Brothers Funeral Home, the Rev. Thomas Anderson officiating and with interment in Riverside Cemetery.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Florence M. Fisher whom he married in 1900 and a daughter, Ina Haywood by a former marriage and who resides in New York City. He also leaves two brothers, Frank, president of the Fisher company of this city and Fred of Cedar Rapids.

Mrs. Fisher was born at Appleton, Wisconsin, November 24, 1962 and came to Charles City with his parents when he was eight years of age. He lived here practically all his life and was in his 68th year when claimed by death.

As a young man he was engaged in the theatrical business for several years, later being employed by the Fisher company then known as Stevens Hering & Co., with which company he remained until he moved to Sioux City in 1906 where he assumed charge of the bank and store fixture department of the Curtis Manufacturing company.

In 1918 deceased returned to Charles City and became connected again with the Fisher company holding the position of secretary and he was actively engaged in the affairs of that company until his death.

He always took an active part in the affairs of the city and community. He served at one time on the city council and was a member of the Lions Club of Charles City having been on of the first presidents of that organization. He was also a member of the First Congregational Church.
