March 19, 1883 – January 9, 1961

MRS. LOIS JOSLIN RITES WEDNESDAY AT CHARLES CITY

Charles City – Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Grossmann-Hage Funeral Home, for Mrs. Lois Joslin, 77. She died at the Cedar Valley Hospital here Monday. Burial will be in Andrews Cemetery, Waverly.

She is survived by three sons, Rodney, Marion; Rolin, Denver; Leo, Falls Church, Vermont; two daughters; Mrs. Emma Kielmeier, Charles City; Mrs. Muriel Bergman, Janesville; a brother; Barney Phelps, Waverly; three sisters; Mrs. Ethel Streeter, Harlingen, Texas; Mrs. Gladia Williams, Shell Rock; and Mrs. Lula Wilson, of California; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Lois Phelps was born March 19, 1883 in Kansas, the daughter of Baynard Phelps and Annette (Davis) Phelps.

She married Elmer Newton Joslin, the son of William Newton Joslin and Alice Ann (Watson) Joslin. He died in 1965 and was buried in the Riverside Cemetery, Charles City, Floyd, Iowa.
