Mr. Henry Monroe "Hank" Reams, 81, of Rudd, Iowa, died on Friday at Mercy Hospital in Mason City, Iowa. Services were held on Tuesday at the United Methodist Church in Rudd, with Rev. M. Reth officiating. Interment was in the Evergreen Cemetery, Rudd. Military honors were given by the VFW post 7920 of Osage.

He was born on October 25, 1910 in Lawler, Iowa, the son of Alvin and Lizzie (Comstock) Reams. He lived in the Rudd and Rockford area. Hank married Mena Staff on April 6, 1969 at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church in rural Osage. He worked as a butcher in the area, and later drove truck for the Brick and Tile Company in Rockford. He was a licensed umpire, and belonged to the United Methodist Church in Rudd, and the VFW Post 7920 in Osage.

He is survived by his wife, Mena Reams of Rudd; a son, Terry and his wife Jackie Reams of Osage; a daughter, Mary and her husband David Coburn, Nora Springs; one brother, John (Les) Reams of Sandwich, Illinois; five grandchildren: Tanya Coburn of Nora Springs, Melissa Mayer of St. Ansgar, Jason and Joseph Reams of Osage, Terry John Reams of Pearl Harbor, Hawaii; one great-granddaughter, Megan Mayer of St. Ansgar.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, James Reams; a sister and four brothers.
