Lawrence J. Koenigsfeld, 86, of rural Marble Rock, Iowa, died on Monday, August 17, 1992, at his residence.

A funeral Mass was celebrated Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Roseville. His son, Father James Koenigsfeld of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Gunnison, Colorado, concelebrated the Mass with Father Walter Brunkan, pastor, of St. Mary's, and Father John Naumann of Dubuque, and Father Vincent Simon, of Ossian. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery, Roseville.

Lawrence John Koenigsfeld was born on January 26, 1906, in rural New Hampton.

Survivors include his wife, Marcella, of Marble Rock; six sons: Father James of Gunnison, Joe of Dakota City, Nebraska, Jerome of North Little Rock, Arkansas, Al of Charles City, Eugene of Littleton, Colorado, and Richard of Marble Rock; five daughters: Mary Ann Barry of Cedar Falls, Patricia Schmitt of Rockford, Regina Shirley of Orchard, Rosalie Harden of Rockford and Julie Reese of Clear Lake; two sisters, Magdalen Naumann of Marble Rock and Sister Agnes Marie Koenigsfeld of Dubuque; 32 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
