Kathryn "Kaye" Halfpap, 55, of Boone, Iowa, and formerly of Nora Springs, Iowa, died on Thursday, October 8, 1992, at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames, Iowa.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at First United Methodist Church, Boone, with Rev. P. Williamson officiating. Burial was in Linwood Park Cemetery.

Kathryn Halfpap was born on February 2, 1937 at Algona, Iowa, the daughter of Bernard and Alma (Thorson) Thompson. She graduated from Nora Springs High School in 1954. She married Alvin C. Halfpap on May 20, 1961, at First United Methodist Church, Nora Springs, Iowa.

She was a homemaker, and moved from Nora Springs to Boone in 1986.

Survivors include her husband, Alvin, of Boone; one daughter, Carrie Topp and husband Jack of LaPorte City; one son, Tom Halfpap, Mason City; and her mother, Alma Thompson, Mason City.

She was preceded in death by her father.
