FUNERAL SERVICES FOR HERMAN HOWE HELD AT METHODIST CHURCH
Funeral services for Herman Howe, 311 Third Street Northwest, were held at the First Methodist Church Thursday afternoon with the Rev. William H. Spence in charge. Burial was at Nora Springs.
Pallbearers were Albert Gildner, Thomas Gildner, Larry Weltze, A. L. Stott, John Christensen and Carl Thompson.
Mr. Howe died at a local hospital Tuesday morning.Mason City Globe Gazette, Friday July 10, 1931

Herman Howe was born July 1864 in Germany according to the 1900 Census.
He married Anna K. Gildner, the daughter of Conrad Gildner and Mary (Schnarr) Gildner.
