FUNERAL RITES FOR EARLY SETTLER ARE NOT COMPLETE

Isaac Babcock, 946 First Street Southeast, died on the eve of his eightieth birthday about 8 o’clock Tuesday night. He had been a resident of Mason City about 55 ears and a resident of Cerro Gordo County for the past 70 years. He had been in ill health for some time.

Mr. Babcock was born April 26, 1859, in New York State. He moved to a farm near Nora Springs with his parents when 10 years of age and resided thee 15 years before moving to Mason City. He was employed in Mason City as a carpenter.

Surviving Mr. Babcock are his wife and one sister, Mrs. Jack Knightlinger, Texas; and two brothers; Morrell Babcock, Marksville, Minnesota; and George Babcock, Montana.
