FUNERAL SERVIES FOR MRS. GEORGE FRESE OF NORA SPRINGS ARE HELD
Nora Springs, May 26 – Funeral services for Mrs. George Frese, who died at her home Tuesday evening, were held at the Lutheran Church at 2:30 o’clock yesterday afternoon with the Rev. Conrad Buehler, pastor of the church, officiating. “Face to Face” and “Jesus Cares” were sung by Mrs. Henry Buckman accompanied by Charlotte Severson.
Pallbearers were Henry Buckman, Lloyd Gashel, Fred Frudden, George Mogk, Harry Benedict and Carl Thompson. Burial was at Park Cemetery.
Margaret Hartwig was born April 19, 1863, near Osage. She was confirmed in the Lutheran faith April 20, 1879. She was united in marriage to George C. Frese, October 8, 1883.
To this union were born six children, three boys and three girls; Frederick Frese; Mrs. Ruby Crowell; Dora Frese; George Frese, Jr.; Mrs. Margaret Kraupe and the youngest, who died in infancy.
Her girlhood was spent near the home where she was born and after her marriage she lived on a farm near Nora Springs until about 13 years ago at which time the family moved to Nora Springs.
Her husband, five children, six grandchildren, two brothers and two sisters survive.

Margaret Wilhelmina Hartwig was born April 19 1863 in Mitchell County, Iowa , the daughter of Friederich Hartwig and Margaretha (Kreisel) Hartwig.
She married George Conrad Frese, the son of George Frese and Johanetta (Goette) Frese.
