Job Randall – March 1, 1821 – March 11, 1904

DIED

Mr. Job Randall was born in Virginia, March 1st, 1821 and died at the home of his son Mr. Elmer Randall on the 11th day of March, 1904, aged, 83 years and 10 days. He emigrated to Shelby county Ohio with his parents when quite young. Here he was married to Anna c. Garber.
In (?) he with his family moved to Clayton County, Iowa. In 1865 they moved to Union township, Floyd County, Iowa, where he has resided until his death. He was the father of twelve children, eight of whom are still living.

Funeral services were held at the M.E. Church last Sunday afternoon conducted by Rev. J. Hilburn, and was attended by a large concourse of relatives and friends, who thus testified to his worth as a neighbor and friend.

During his long residence in this community the deceased has always endeavored to so live as to give no just cause for offense taking for his guilde the golden rule.

His remains were laid to rest beside his wife who had preceded him in 1900. Uncle Job’s familiar face will be missed by many outside the family circle. May his ashes rest in peace.
