Richard D. "Ned" Lohr, 71, died Friday, October 29, 1993 at St. Francis Hospital following a lengthy illness.

Memorial services were held Tuesday, November 2, 1993, at Swan-Law Funeral Chapel, Colorado, Springs, Colorado, with Rev. E. Rushing officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to Crohns and Colitis Foundation, New York, NY.

He was a graduate of Rockford Public High School and attended Iowa State University. He served in the Air Force in active duty from April 15, 1944 to October 23, 1946. On October 7, 1944 he married Dorothy M. (Yerkes) Lohr in Albert Lea, Minnesota. He was a former owner of LaFon Motel in Manitou Springs from 1961-1976.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church, member of Al Kaly Temple, and past president of Manitou Springs Chamber of Commerce. He served in the Air Force Reserves from 1955 to 1982.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy M. Lohr, Colorado Springs; two daughters, Carol O. Huffman of Manitou Springs, Colorado and Julie K. Lohr of Seehonk, Massachusetts; one brother, Robert A. Lohr, Rockford; and a sister, Phyllis A. Braillier of Altadena, California.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Elsie Lohr.
