Funeral services for Roy Edward Keith, 74, of rural Marble Rock, Iowa, were held on Friday morning, September 3, 1993, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Marble Rock, with Rev. J. Albrecht officiating.

Burial was in the Westside Cemetery in Marble Rock. Reid's Funeral Chapel in marble Rock was in charge of arrangements.

Roy Edward Keith was born October 13, 1918, in rural marble Rock, Scott township, a son of Claude and Jose (Garber) Keith.

He died on Tuesday, August 31, 1993, at the Floyd County Memorial Hospital in Charles City, Iowa.

He was educated in the rural Scott Township schools. On September 22, 1941 he was united in marriage to Viola Debner in Trenton, Missouri. Mr. Keith was engaged in farming in Scott Township his entire life, and had a great love for the outdoors.

Roy was baptized and confirmed a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, and served on the Floyd County A.S.C.S. Committee, and was a former board member of the Farmers Coop Elevator in Marble Rock.

Living family members include his wife, Viola of Marble Rock; one daughter, Judith Schnack of Harley, Iowa; two sons, Edward of Marble Rock and David of Rockford; two grandsons, Charles Cleveland and Brian Keith; six granddaughters: Sarah Madsen, Daphne Keith, Jennifer Slauson, Laura, Janette, and Angela Keith; one great-great-granddaughter, Erica Cleveland; and one sister, Mrs. Maude Kingery of Greene.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Alton an Lloyd Keith.
