William Hans, 101, formerly of Rudd, died Sunday, February 21, 1993, at the Nora Springs Care Center.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete at Sheckler Colonial Chapel, Nora Springs.

Funeral services were held at Sheckler Colonial Chapel on February 26, 1993, for William Hans. Mr. Hans was 101 years old.

Formerly of Rudd, he had been a resident for some time at the Nora Springs Care Center.

Rev. Melvin Reth of the Rudd United Methodist Church, and burial was in the Rudd Evergreen Cemetery.

William Hans was born on April 10, 1891 at Lakota, Iowa.

Survivors include one son, Merwin of Boonsboro, Maryland; one daughter, Darleen Ewing, West Des Moines; five granddaughters and six great-grandsons.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, three sisters and six brothers.
