Thomas A. Jerrell, 83, The Villages, Fl, formerly of Aurora, IL, passed away, Sunday, August 2, 2009. Mr. Jerrell was born in Leadore, ID a protestant and was a WWII Navy Veteran. He graduated from the University of Iowa and was the comptroller for Caterpillar Tractor for most of his carrier. He served on the board of directors for the Aurora National Bank and the Business School at Northern Illinois University. He was a member of the Parkinson's Support Group in The Villages.
He was an insightful man who enjoyed fishing, golf and most of all spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Sue Jerrell, The Villages, FL; sons, Thomas A. Jerrell, Jr. (Susan), Manitowoc, WI, John P. Jerrell (Millie), Champaign, IL; step-son, Scott W. Sovereign (Lucy), Franklin, TN; sister, Nadine Harman (Don) of Marshalltown, IA; 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brothers John and Phil.

Thomas Ahrens Jerrell was the son of Thomas Jerrell and Louise (Buckmann) Jerrell. The family moved to Nora Springs when he was about 2 years old.
