Services were Saturday, October 19, 1996, for Richard Newton, 9, of rural Riceville, who died October 16, 1996 after a farming accident.
Richard was born on December 29, 1986 in Rochester to Lee and Jennifer (DiLaura) Newton.
Survivors include his parents, Lee and Jennifer Newton, three sisters: Kathyrn Jane, Jessica Angel, and Nicole Lea, all of Riceville, paternal grandparents Jerry and Joyce Newton of Riceville, and paternal great-grandparents Stanley and Ruth Newton of Riceville, and Walter and Doloris Fischer of St. Charles, Minnesota; maternal foster grandparents Del and Joyce Fowler of Provo, Utah.
Richard was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Elvero and Kathryn DiLaura.
Services were at the Riceville United Methodist Church with the Rev. Don Lovejoy officiating. Burial was in Liberty Cemetery in Little Cedar, Iowa.
