ROLAND ARNOLD GRAVES – May 3, 1916 – September 16, 1974

Roland A. Graves, 58, 126 e. Howard St., died late Monday at Lutheran Hospital, LaCrosse, Wisconsin, after an illness of six months. He was a laborer at Badger Foundry Co.
The son of Frederick and Lillian Jacobsen Graves, he was born in Melvin, Iowa, May 3, 1916. A World War II Veteran, he has lived in Winona since 1942. He married Bertha Holt at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin, in 1943. She died in February 1968. On June 3, 1972, he married Elaine Fegre. He was a member of Central Lutheran Church and Improved Order of Red Men, Winona Tribe 20.
Survivors are; his wife; three sons, Larry, Mission Viejo, California; Dennis, Coon Rapids, Minnesota; and Roland Jr., White Bear Lake, Minnesota; two daughters; Mrs. Garry (Jeanne) Mahlke, White Bear Lake, Minnesota; and Miss Joyce Graves, Winona; three stepdaughters; Mrs. Richard (Dixie) Johnson, LaCrescent, Minnesota; Mrs. Michael (Rebecca) Maloney, Rushford, Minnesota; and Mrs. Steven (JoAnne) Langowski, Winona; 15 grandchildren, and two sisters have died.
Funeral services will be at 6 p.m. Thursday at Fawcett Funeral Home Winona, the Rev. G. H. Huggenvik, Central Lutheran Church, officiating.
Graveside services will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Nora Springs, Iowa, the Rev. Herman Senft officiating.
