RITES FOR MRS. SMITH 68, WILL BE HELD SUNDAY

Charles City – A service will be held in the Grossman Funeral Home Sunday afternoon at 3:30 for Mrs. Louisa M. Smith, 68, widow of Oscar F. Smith, who died Friday morning at the home of her sister, Mrs. Mary Erdman, 209 Sixteenth Avenue, after a three week’s illness. The Rev. C.G . Phottengeier will officiate and burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

Mrs. Smith is survived by three other sisters; Mrs. A F. Kannengeiser, Riceville; Mrs. Ida Speedling, Nashua; Mrs. L. J. Zimmerman, Waterloo; and three brothers; Fred C. Hoeft and Charles Hoeft, Charles City; and John Hoeft, Minneapolis.
She is also survived by Mrs. Ray Bird, Waterloo, a niece whom she reared as a child and with whom she made her home last winter.
