Richard Bohlen, 88, Rudd, Iowa, died on Sunday, January 30, 1994 at home.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday at the Rudd United Methodist Church with the Rev. M. Reth officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to Heart to Home Hospice, Charles City, in memory of Richard Bohlen.
Richard Bohlen was born on April 8, 1905, in Butler county, Iowa, a son of Jacob and Gesina (Ludeman) Bohlen. He farmed near Colwell and was a self-employed contractor in northern Minnesota for many years.
Survivors include a long-time companion, Millie Schuster, Rudd; two sons, Randall Bohlen of Charles City and Merlyn Bohlen of New Richland, Minnesota; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; and two nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Harm Bohlen; and his wife.
