Funeral services were held on Thursday, August 14, 1986, at St. John's Lutheran Church southwest of Osage, for Mrs. Loren (Bernice) Muller, 60, of rural Osage. Vicar William Heffel and Rev. Norman Betke officiated and burial was in Calvary Cemetery, rural Osage. Mrs. Muller died on Monday, August 11, 1986 at an Iowa City hospital.

She was born on April 21, 1926 in Rudd Township, Floyd County, Iowa, to Alvin and Elsie (Hollatz) Dieterich. She graduated from Osage High School in 1944. On March 12, 1947, she and Loren Muller were united in marriage at St. John's Lutheran church, rural Osage. They farmed in rural Osage all their married life.

Mrs. Muller was an active member of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League, and also served as a church officer in various capacities.

She is survived by her husband, Loren of Osage; two daughters, Mrs. Joe (Janet) Boll of Toledo and Kristine Muller of Mason City; and her mother, Elsie Dieterich of Osage.
