Funeral services for Waunita Arndt will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Hauser Funeral Home. Pastor Jim Beranek of Trinity United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Sunnyside Memory Gardens rural Charles City.

Waunita Anna Roy Arndt was born January 10, 1925, at Norfolk, Nebr., the daughter of Charles and Harriet (Burton) Roy. She attended Floyd High School.

On May 3, 1944, she was united in marriage to Merlyn Bonwell and they later divorced. She then married Kenneth Neilsen and they later divorced. On September 30, 1950, Waunita was united in marriage to Leo Arndt at Austin, Minn. Over the years Waunita worked at Wamsley's Cafe and Hill's Cafe both in Floyd. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, reading and working outside.

Living family members include four grandchildren, Rodney (Donna) Bonwell, Brett Bonwell, Rae Ann (Mark) Brenneman and Denise (Mike) Tuttle; three brothers, Harold Roy of Farmington, Minn., John (Pat) Roy of Apple Valley, Minn. and James Roy of Anaheim, Calif.; and four sisters, Peggy Beaver of Charles City, Velma (Ken) Anderson of Perry, Carol (Joe) Schmidt of Leesburg, Fla. and Patricia Poppe of Mason City.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leo Arndt on April 22, 1992; a son, Ronald Bonwell; and three brothers, Donald L. Roy, Oliver Roy and Teddy Roy.
