Funeral services for Chloe Durant, 92, of Osage, were held Saturday, January 18, 1986 at Champion Funeral Home. She was a former Nora Springs resident and died Wednesday, January 15, at an Osage nursing home.

Rev. J. Nesheim of Our Savior's Lutheran Church officiated, and burial was in Park Cemetery in Nora Springs. The family requests memorials be made to the Faith Home in Osage.

Mrs. Durant was born on September 14, 1893 in Mitchell County, to Albert and Wilhemina (Bruning) Schultz and grew up in the Nora Springs area. On September 2, 1914 she and Willard Durant were married. The couple farmed south of Nora Springs. She lived there until moving to an Osage nursing home in 1977.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and nine brothers and sisters.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Haugen of Osage; five grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
