FLOYD, IOWA - Emmett Nauman Jr., 71, of Floyd died Thursday, Oct. 20, 2011, at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Charles City. Pastor Jim Beranek will officiate. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery at Rudd.

Friends may call at the Hauser Funeral Home in Charles City from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday and at the church Wednesday an hour prior to the service. The Hauser Funeral Home in Charles City, 641-228-2323, is in charge of arrangements.

Emmett Nauman, Jr., 71, of Floyd, Iowa, died Thursday, October 20, 2011, at his home.

Funeral services for Junior Nauman will be held 1:30 p.m. Wednesday [Oct. 26, 2011] at Trinity United Methodist Church in Charles City. Pastor Jim Beranek will officiate. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery at Rudd, Iowa.

Friends may call at the Hauser Funeral Home in Charles City from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and at the church Wednesday an hour prior to the service.

Emmett Nauman, Jr. was born September 19, 1940, in Floyd County the youngest of nine children to Emmett** and Hannah (Janssen) Nauman, Sr. He graduated from Floyd Consolidated School in 1958.

On August 1, 1958, he was united in marriage to Gloria Martin in Mason City. The couple was engaged in dairy, hog and grain farming on the family farm all their lives. Junior was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Other memberships included Farm Bureau, Rudd Coop, Future Farmers of America, Floyd County Pork Producers, and Stacyville Creamery Coop.

He will always be remembered as a person who thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of farming including his daily milking routine. Family was always important to Junior and he looked forward to sharing his life and wisdom with them.

Living family members include his wife of 53 years, Gloria Nauman of Floyd; five children, Jeff (Roxie) Nauman of Lakeville, Minn., Russell Emmett Nauman of Mason City, Bev (John) Selvig of New Hampton, Susan (Kenny) Orthaus of New Hampton and Steve (Kelli) Nauman of Floyd; 13 grandchildren, Melissa (Brad) Graving, Stephanie (Brad) Neuroth, Nick Nauman, Matthew Selvig, Lisa (Bryan) Angell, Johnny (Angie) Selvig, Heather (Cody) Blakewell, Brian Blakewell, Cole Orthaus, Jared (Alyssa) Nauman, Justin Nauman, Tanner Nauman and Madison Nauman; six great grandchildren; two brothers and five sisters.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter, Amanda Nauman; and a brother.
