Funeral services Tuesday at 2 p. m. at the St. John Lutheran Church for Fred William Altenburg, 72, rural Charles City, who died Saturday at the Cedar Valley Hospital following a cerebral hemorrhage; was a retired farmer; born in Germany; family came to Charles City when he was six months old. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery.

The Grossmann-Hage funeral home is in charge of arrangements.

Survived by wife, one daughter, Mrs. Clair Bilharz, Charies City.
