CHARLES CITY, IOWA - William "Bill" Rickart, 48, of Charles City died Tuesday, June 28, 2011, at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa in Mason City.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 2, at the Hauser Funeral Home in Charles City. Pastor Dennis Niezwaag of Saint John Evangelical Lutheran Church will officiate. Inurnment will be at a later date.

Friends may call at the Hauser Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. until service time on Saturday.

William "Bill" Rickart, 48, of Charles City, died Tuesday, June 28, 2011, at Mercy Medical Center North Iowa in Mason City as the result of complications from pneumonia.

Memorial services for Bill Rickart will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Hauser Funeral Home in Charles City. Pastor Dennis Niezwaag of Saint John Evangelical Lutheran Church will officiate. Inurnment will be at a later date.

Friends may call at the Hauser Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. until service time on Saturday.

William Robert Rickart was born November 16, 1962, at Charleston, Ill., the son of William and Darlene (Arnold) Judy. He graduated from Davis County High School in Bloomfield, Ray Vouge School of Design in Chicago, Ill. and attended school at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Mich. for Radiologic Technology. Bill was an x-ray technician, worked in a cardiac cath lab and also was a Medical Traveler working in many states. His interests included artwork, flowers, traveling and cooking especially grilling for family and friends. In 2004 Bill had a stroke which prevented him from continuing work. Because of this, he helped start the Head and Stroke Support Group at the Floyd County Medical Center in Charles City.

Living family members include his mother, Darlene Rickart of Charles City, two sisters, Sheila (Jim) Devereaux and Brenda Judy both of Charles City; four nieces, Melissa (Brad) Martin, Tiffany Reiher, Heather Reiher, and Nicole Reiher; a nephew, Cody Reiher; and three great nephews, Kaleb Martin, Kade Martin and Kale Martin.
