Charles City Dies

CHARLES CITY, IOWA - Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:30 p.m., at the Central Methodist Church, for Mrs. Albert Lokenvitz, 64, who died at the Cedar Valley Hospital Tuesday morning where she had been a patient since Friday. The Rev. Wesley F. Belling, assisted by the Rev. J. W Bearse, will officiate, and interment will be in the West St. Charles Cemetery, with the Hauser Funeral Home in charge.

Mrs. Lokenvitz suffered a cerebral hemorrhage Thursday evening. She has been a life-long resident of the community, living at her farm home four miles west and one mile north of Charles City. She was a member of the West St. Charles Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband Albert E., four sons, Harold, Glencoe Minnesota; Merlyn, Floyd; and Ivan and Barryl, of the West St. Charles area. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Wulff, Charles City, and Mrs. Emil Ziebell, Charles City, and two brothers, Ben Heitz, Rockford, and Henry Heitz, Charles City.
