NORA SPRINGS, IOWA - Theron J. "Johnnie" Jacobson, 49, of Nora Springs Care Center, formerly of Floyd, died Thursday (July 24, 1997) at the St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester, Minn., after suffering an apparent aneurysm.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Grace United Methodist Church, Floyd, with the Rev. J. Larry Vallery, senior pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church of Charles City, officiating. Burial will be in the Park Cemetery, Nora Springs.

Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Fullerton Hage Funeral Home, 401 Blunt St., Charles City, and from 9 to 11 a.m. on Monday. There will be further visitation one hour prior to services at the church on Monday.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete at the Fullerton Hage Funeral Home, 401 Blunt St., Charles City.

NORA SPRINGS _ Theron J. "Johnnie" Jacobson, 49, of the Nora Springs Care Center, formerly of Floyd, died Thursday (July 24, 1997) at St. Mary_s Hospital, Rochester, Minn., after suffering an apparent aneurysm.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Grace United Methodist Church, Floyd, with the Rev. J. Larry Vallery, senior pastor, at Trinity United Methodist Church, Charles City, officiating. Burial will be in the Park Cemetery, Nora Springs.

Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. today and from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday at the Fullerton Hage Funeral Home, Charles City. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Monday.

Theron John Jacobson was born Dec. 23, 1947, in Charles City, the son of Theron Vern and Maude (Kelly) Jacobson. He was raised in Floyd where he attended elementary school. He then attended special education school in Osage. He resided in Floyd with his parents until he and his mother moved to the Nora Springs Care Center in May of 1995. Johnnie was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Floyd. He was made an honorary member of the Floyd Volunteer Fire Department. He loved to go fishing, especially at the family's cabin in Minnesota.

Living family members include his guardians, Ed and Connie Hejna of Floyd; two half-brothers and their wives, Vern and Dorothy Jacobson and Virgil and Shirley Jacobson, all of Charles City; two sisters, Mrs. Thelma Mooberry of Charles City, and Mildred James and her husband, Ewell, of Nauvoo, Ala.; and relatives who were close to Johnnie, Norma and Roger Olson of Mesa, Ariz., Richard and Mary Mullen of St. Louis Park, Minn., Florence Kelly of Nora Springs, Andrew and Ruby Mullen of Charles City, and Elizabeth Brinkman of Mason City; and the many dear friends Johnnie made at the Nora Springs Care Center.

He was preceded in death by his father who died Dec. 9, 1961, in Osage; and his mother who died June 14, 1995, in Nora Springs.

Those considering an expression of sympathy may direct memorials to the elevator fund at Grace United Methodist Church in Floyd.
