RUDD, IOWA - Inez Mary Roy, 85, formerly of 616 Depot St., died Saturday, June 28, 1997, at the Salsbury Baptist Home, Charles City.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Rudd United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Deborah Stowers officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Sheckler Colonial Chapel, 114 N. Hawkeye, Nora Springs, and one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.
Inez Mary Roy was born on October 11, 1911, at Rudd, the daughter of G. W. and Amelia (Radloff) Millard. She grew up in Rudd and attended schools there. She worked at the cafe in Rudd and also drove a school bus. She loved to bake, especially wedding and birthday cakes. She also loved animals. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and weaving rugs.
Inez was a member of the Rudd United Methodist Church and enjoyed teaching the children in Sunday school.
Survivors include three daughters, Mary Babbitt, Rudd; Glorida Schmidt, Charles City, and Susan Burns and her husband, Donald, Rudd; seven grandchildren, Terry Reams, Mary Coburn, Naomi Mollica, Robert Schroder, Tim Sigler, Tami Cleghorn and April Burns; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, two grandchildren and one sister.
