KELLY, EGAN, BURNS

CHARLES CITY, IOWA — Michael Kelly, 82. died at his, home Sunday, following a stroke; funeral at Immaculate Conception church here Tuesday at 9 a.m; burial in Calvary Cemetery. He was a resident of this community for 70 years.

Born at Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, August 21, 1860, to Patrick and Catherine Egan Kelly. When 33 years old he moved with his parents to a farm south of Charles City. Except for a short period while as a young man he was engaged in logging operations in Minnesota, he was a lifelong resident of this community. With his late brother, John Kelly, he operated an 'ice business in Charles City from 1893 to 1902, and then was engaged in horse buying and selling, from 1902 to 1918. When he retired, Mr. Kelly maintained a large barn in the rear of the Kelly home on Clark street, where he bought and sold horses. He and his sister, Catherine Kelly, have resided together for the last 42 years.

He leaves another sister, Mrs. Will Burns.

The body is at Grossmann's Funeral home. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday morning
